VENTURA, Calif., June 3, 2010 – A unique craft beer and food pairing festival, Salute! A Festival to Celebrate Finely Crafted Beer & Food, will converge on the San Buenaventura State Beach on Saturday, June 19th, featuring locally and nationally celebrated craft breweries alongside renowned regional restaurants. The event, presented by Ojai Beverage Company and Thirty-Three Productions, Inc., will offer two sessions of beer & food pairing for the general public and VIPs between 11am – 5pm. The element of pairing food with beer provides a perfect synergy between the event and its sole beneficiary, FOOD Share of Ventura County, which will receive 100% of the net proceeds from all sales generated by this vanguard event.

Newly confirmed entertainers for Salute! include singer-songwriter-guitarist Davy Knowles, a 22-year old wunderkind who hails from the Isle of Man in the UK to headline. His latest album, “Coming Up For Air” was produced by Grammy Award winning guitarist Peter Frampton, who is also featured on the album. In 2009, Knowles became one of only two artists in history to play live from NASA and be broadcast to the space shuttle while it was in orbit. Also joining the acclaimed entertainment line up at Salute! are singer-songwriters, Jade Hendrix and Skyler Stonestreet, in addition to LA-based Rock/Hip-Hop outfit, Terra Incognita featuring Prophet of Teruo Artistry. As previously announced, guests will also enjoy performances by Southern California Indie Rock Band, Vinyl Candy and San Diego-based acoustic singer-songwriter-guitarist, Lee Coulter who will complete this spectacular day of live entertainment.

General Admission tickets are $60 and include a souvenir 4 oz. tasting glass, four hours of unlimited beer and food tasting, and live entertainment. For $135, guests can purchase a VIP Tastemaker ticket, which also includes early entry for a two-hour private reserve beer tasting with invited brewers, special beer and food pairings throughout the day, and exclusive access to a private VIP lounge area before and during the general admission session. VIP Tastemaker access, which is limited to 500 people also provides exclusive access to Salute! breweries one hour prior to the festival gates opening. VIP guests will have access to limited edition beers like Sierra Nevada’s 30th Anniversary XXX – Charlie, Fred and Ken’s Lager, Dogfish Head’s Palo Santo Marron, Ladyface Ale Companie’s Cheseboro Double IPA and Telegraph Brewing Company’s Reserve Wheat Ale, among others. Brewers, owners and brewmasters that will attend include Adam Ball (Anacapa Brewing), Michael Bowe (Angel City), Aaron Barkenhagen (Bootleggers), Dan Kahn (Buckbean), Mark Jilg and Todd Peterson (Craftsman), Doug Martin (Einhorn Beer Co), David Griffiths (Ladyface Ale Companie), Chas Cloud (Santa Barbara Brewing Company), Pete Johnson and Paul Nichols (The Brewhouse), and Scott Baer and Paul Rey (Telegraph).
