AFTER-SCHOOL ALL-STARS, LOS ANGELES ANNOUNCES STAR STUDDED DESIGNER LINEUP FOR DESIGNING DREAMS HOLIDAY FASHION SHOW & TOY DRIVE

Event To Inspire with Collaboration of Inner-city Children and Today’s Most Sought After Entertainment and Fashion Designers

LOS ANGELES, CA – November 20, 2013: After-School All-Stars, Los Angeles (ASAS-LA) is proud to unveil its inaugural DESIGNING DREAMS Holiday Fashion Show & Toy Drive to be held on the rooftop of the glamorous London Hotel in West Hollywood on December 11, 2013, 7:00pm – 11:00pm. The evening will benefit the more than 17,000 inner-city LA youth that reside in low-income communities throughout LA who are members of the award-winning After-School All-Stars, Los Angeles programs annually.

The all-ages holiday event hosted by Riquel Olander (Randy Jackson Presents: America’s Best Dance Crew), will showcase a runway show with some of today’s hottest names in fashion including highly-acclaimed LA-based designers: Kara Saun “Highly-stylized, fashion-driven collections”; Sen “High end, fashion forward couture”, Young Fabulous & Broke “Inspired by young Hollywood”; Miguel Torres “Hip, streetwise clothes in sexy styles”; Westward Bound “UK-based latex couture”; My White T “Femme, Strong, Unexpected, and Empowering”; Lurelly “Bright, Fun, Glamorous Designs”; and also presents an urban street wear set featuring BELLA DOÑA LA, “90’s inspired street wear with a Chola Couture twist”; Teruo Artistry with a collection where “Life Imitates Art”; Mixed Up Clothing “Globally-inspired youth fashion that celebrates diversity” and Honey B Gold accessories “Bold, unapologetic, statement pieces”.

Renowned choreographer to the stars, Jesse Lee Santos (Britney Spears, Pink, Christina Aguilera, Jessica Simpson & more) acts as choreographer for this spirited event with a special feature performance by ASAS-LA dance and fashion students alongside a special art presentation by Skyler Grey “the youngest artist to be sold in galleries internationally”. The acclaimed John Paul Mitchell Systems styling team will be creating the evening’s innovative hairstyles, and the renowned CAO Cosmetics, have graciously committed their makeup services to this fashionable, philanthropic endeavor.

DESIGNING DREAMS proudly presents its VIP cocktail reception featuring a hosted wine bar courtesy of BeSpoke Collection wines to be paired with Hors d’Oeuvres designed by the culinary team of award winning Chef Gordon Ramsay. The event is Executive Produced by Thirty-Three Productions, Inc. who is proud to bring Dreams to Reality on behalf of ASAS-LA.

With noteworthy support from Program Ambassador Kobe Bryant, ASAS-LA brings innovative, cutting-edge academic and enrichment programs to 17,000 enrolled K-12 students across 48 schools within LA County. In addition to providing great opportunities for youth to experience success, the program also contributes to the reduction of drug use, crime and violence; all while increasing the safety of its participants during the after school hours. The organization believes that an interest in the arts should not be limited by socioeconomic circumstances and offers visual and performing arts, fashion, design, and sewing programs to its students. As ASAS-LA Program Ambassador for the past 5 years, Kobe Bryant has provided tremendous support and life changing experiences to All-Star students.

DESIGNING DREAMS has been created to inspire and celebrate the spirit of creativity and giving back to the LA youth that need it the most during the holiday season. The toy drive guest donations will enable ASAS-LA to deliver desired toys and much needed holiday joy to thousands of inner-city youth in ASAS-LA programs.
