Not another humdrum fundraiser, the fun-filled celebration includes an all-star guest list featuring some of the entertainment industry’s most engaging celebrities; great food and drinks; bowling; an exciting professional-level poker tournament; and talented DJs. Stars & Strikes was the brainchild of APCH’s Leadership Council, a diverse group of young professionals, entrepreneurs, actors and entertainers, to celebrate the great work APCH does for youth in South Central Los Angeles. “The real superstars of Stars & Strikes are the generous sponsors who not only get the party rolling, but are the life blood of APCH,” says Julie Pilat, event chairperson.

A Place Called Home is a safe haven in South Central Los Angeles where underserved youth are empowered to take ownership of the quality and direction of their lives through programs in education, arts, and well-being; and are inspired to make a meaningful difference in their community and the world. Core program work in conjunction with one another to support APCH members in avoiding destructive behaviors by developing life skills and motivation to overcome adversity, make healthy, productive choices, and take advantage of the opportunities that lie before them.
