Ojai, CA – October 22nd, 2010: Vesta the Restaurant located on the Ave in the Ojai Arcade proudly presents the globally acclaimed keyboardist Dave Palmer and friends performing live on Saturday, October 23rd from 5pm – 8pm with NO cover charge as part of their exciting weekly “Celebration Saturdays” series of events. The local Ojai Favorite eatery serves up great entertainment paired with delicious dishes for lunch, brunch and AdVenture Hours – 6 days a week.
DAVE PALMER LIVE!
The now Ojai local, Dave Palmer has played with a vast array of artists as a touring musician, studio keyboardist, producer, musical director (most recently for the Hollywood Bowl’s Beatles Tribute), and arranger. This collection of employers is as diverse in style as it is impressive in it’s make up. Fiona Apple, Chris Isaak, AIR, Seal, Turin Brakes, Twista, Joe Henry, Patty Griffin, Fleetwood Mac, Madeleine Peyroux, Perla Batalla, T-Bone Burnett, Avenged Sevenfold, Missy Higgins, Sam Phillips, Solomon Burke, The Goo Goo Dolls and Aureo Baqueiro are but a few examples of his varied professional experience. Mr. Palmer’s musical credits also include notable film and television work. He has been a staple musician for the eclectic composer Brian Reitzell and played on scores for films such as 30 Days of Night, Friday Night Lights, Peacock, Stranger Than Fiction, The Brothers Bloom, and Shrink. He has written for both film and television with songs appearing in The Brothers Bloom, Earthlings, and Love Monkey. He has had his arrangements and production featured in the film Stepbrothers and the hit TV drama House. He also had two songs on the Disney Music release “Music inspired by the film WALL-E”.
